Pushin Me Away

So...I'm realllly liking Jonas Brothers lately, and I feel like a little kid, but I can't help it, and it doesn't hurt that Joe Jonas is kinda cute...haha

I can't get enough of listening to Burnin' Up and I recently heard a new song of theirs...it's called Pushin' Me Away...and I like it just as much. :) Their album should be coming out soon...mid-August I believe and it's called A Little Bit Longer.

Here's the link I found of the song on Youtube...enjoy :)

I can be your addiction, if you wanna get hooked on me...

"Bad Girl" is the second single off Danity Kane's second album Welcome to the Dollhouse. The video finnnalllyyyy premiered last night on MTV's FNMTV, where the girls (minus Aubrey due to the fact that she's on broadway at the moment playing Amber Von Tussle in the musical Hairspray) presented their video to viewers. It's about time they came out with a second single and video! The song features Missy Elliot, who also makes an appearance in the video.

In the video, each girl has her own "boy-toy" and you might see a few familiar faces when the video goes through each scenario. Anyone watch the original Laguna Beach? Well you might recognize Aubrey's "boy-toy" for this video, because he is Talan Torriero from the reality tv show. Another familiar face is seen when the video focuses on Dawn...her guy is her current boyfriend and fellow Bad Boy labelmate Que from Day26. (I think it's kinda cheesy that he is in her video, cause she is in his current music video for his group's song "Since You've Been Gone", we get it, you guys are in love...but do you both need to be in eachother's music videos!?)

In my opinion...the video is alright, I don't really like it when they change their appearance and switch into their "Bad Girl" alter-egos, I don't think they look great in those scenes. Other than that, its alright...I love the song.

Here's a link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=My2WYOtzO8c

Becki Newton: BEST LOOK OF THE WEEK

With all the events going on this week....we definitely think that Becki Newton pulled off a look that is beautiful, effortless, chic and sexy.....

The petite actress whos off her figure in a ruffled purple strapless Abaeté dress and sky-blue Courtney Crawford heels at the ABC All Star party in L.A.

Did we not tell you Courtney Crawford shoes would be a hit??? Lucy Liu, Lindsey Lohan, Miley Cyrus, Ginnifer Goodwin and, now, Becki Newton....

Calling You

Calling You is supposedly going to be Kat Deluna's lead single from her upcoming sophmore album. The song made its appearance off the singer's Myspace page earlier today. Deluna has a 5-octave range....5-octaves!! (That's crazy) Yet her songs so far haven't showed off her talent in any way. You can think of Calling You as being part of this dance/europop craze that is slowly taking over. When I first heard this song it initially reminded me of Lady Gaga's Just Dance. Here's the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQHWqAVDudM

Interesting Combination

Chris Cornell, the singer from Audioslave (who broke up in 2007) has been working on his solo album with none other than..........Timbaland!!! Mr. Mosely is the album's executive producer and has been quoted saying that his sessions with Cornell have been resulted in "the best work I've done in my career". I'm excited to hear the genius that is Timbaland and what he has up his sleeve for Cornell. Here is the first song from this collaboration, it's called Long Gone. I found it on Youtube for you guys to listen to:

Anyone other than me think Chris Cornell's eyes are beautiful?!?!?!

All time fav...

Yes...I was and still am a huge *Nsync fan. Ever since they performed in concert on the Disney channel, I fell in love. (Especially with Justin...haha) I bought their albums right when it came out, went to their concerts when they came to town, and watched EVERY performance..and I think this is by far the best television performance they had, except for when their concerts were broadcasted on HBO (yes I watched the concerts on TV too) So basically I'm a Nsync fanatic and wanted to share this video of what I think is one of their best performances....I WIIISSHHH they would just reunite. If only JT wouldn't think he was so much better than the rest of them....but he was always number one when he was with them too! :-/ I still love him though..haha

It's like I checked into rehab...

So with the re-release of her album Good Girl Gone Bad, I thought her label would just be releasing Disturbia as the next single, but I guess her reps are considering the release of another song that I absolutely LOVE which is called Rehab as well. Buttt the release of Rehab as a single is for the U.K...not here. :-/
I wish they would release it as a single in the US cause I think it is one of the best songs on her album. The song was co-written by Justin Timberlake and produced by Timbaland. If you haven't heard it...here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUpsX7ihHdY

Eva Longoria

I don't really like this picture of her....

that's all.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry's career is definitely taking off and with her quirky wardrobe....she is sure to get noticed (eve more).
Word is that she is working with stylist Johnny Wujek...who also is designing for Modern Vintage (shoes).
Since we know Katy, we can tell you that her wardrobe is definitely her call though...stylist or no stylist. Her strong sense of self and her very distinct view on fashion...is obvious...
We love Katy...

Hello Heartbreak

Former Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams is coming out with an album titled Unexpected which will be released on August 19th. Her current single for the album is the track We Break the Dawn, which I personally don't think is the greatest song but it's still alright. I recently heard a snippet of another song that will be on the album, and I think she should of made this song, Hello Heartbreak, the first single off the album... it's way better than the current one. I have only been able to find a snippet of the original version of the song, if you search for it on Youtube, you'll find remix versions of it, but they don't sound that great. After listening to this snippet, I am a little intrigued by Williams and I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of Unexpected. Listen to it, let me know what you think.

Here's where you can hear the snippet:

Pigozzi and the Paparazzi

"Long before Steven Meisel was plumbing the depths of tabloid culture for satirical editorial spreads in Italian Vogue, influential photographers were zooming in on the subject of celebrity and presaging the paparazzi phenomenon that has overtaken pop culture. “Pigozzi and the Paparazzi,” a show currently at the Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin, blurs the line between art and commerce–and high and low–presenting the work of eight influential photographers with a unique perspective on the art of pursuing famous quarry. "

Belle

We are huge fans of Camilla Belle because she always looks so put together, fashion forward and chic...

Sexy at all ages..

Kim is proof....in this great Pucci dress.

Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried at another premiere for Mamma Mia in an Amanda Wakeley dress....Fuchsia seems to be the color.
Ps. I feel like this dress is too long for her short frame...at least wear higher shoes.

Mum is lookin' hot

If I am ever courageous enough to have kids (and gain excessive amounts of weight)...I hope I become a mother that looks just as HOT as Paltrow...she looks fantastical in this Giambattista Valli frock....

Risk Taker to the Nth Degree

What can we say....we love her and her style.

Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union looks beautiful in this fuchsia floor length Issa dress and Jimmy Choo shoes....

Her fabulous stylist, Tara Swennen, has done it again....

Why is she so cocky?

Anne Hathaway is looking overly confident these days....or, perhaps she is just trying to save face because of her douche bag fraud ex-boy-toy of hers....either way, home girl needs to stop acting like she is too cool for school, cause (NEWS FLASH)...YOU'RE NOT. (but this is a pretty dress)

Something new...

After recently signing a deal with Epic Records, R&B singer started working on her fifth studio album. She's been working with producers like Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, The Underdogs (who produced this song) and has Bryan Cox as the album's Executive Producer. This song that I recently heard is called "List" and it's kind of repetitive...all she seems to say is "I don't wanna be on that list" like over and over again. Hmmm...not really sure if I like it. Here's the song off of Youtube, let me know what you think...

Not much of a competition...

So R&B/Hip-hop artist Ciara was originally supposed to release her upcoming album sometime this coming October, yet she is planning on pushing up the release date because she thinks she can compete with the girl we all love, Beyonce. Beyonce is set to release her 3rd studio album in September (or so I've heard) and since Ciara thinks she can compete, she wants her CD released on the same day. By doing this, she is creating the girl version of the 50 Cent v. Kanye West competition that happened a few months back. Hmmm...in this case, I think Ciara is the 50 cent and Beyonce's record sales are gonna prevail, just like Kanye's did.

Why try and compete anyways?! Everyone knows CD sales just keep going down. Seriously, just up to a few years ago first week CD sales in the millions was so easy, and now for Lil Wayne's Carter III album to be the first since 50 Cent's 2005 release to have 1.5 million sales in the first week pretty depressing. The music industry is changing everyday and to see such a fast plumet in record sales is sad to see. Why would any artist want to hinder their record sales by competing against another big artist? I'm sure it's all a publicity stunt, to try and hype up their albums...but it was kind of a failure for 50 Cent, and it's sad to say but I think it's gonna have the same backlash for Ciara.

I don't think Ciara should change the release date of her album to match Beyonce's...but that's just my opinion. :)

Camilla Belle

Camilla Belle makes her way in to the Valentino Couture show to watch Alessandra Facchinetti's first collection for the label.

Camilla looks very sweet and chic....this should give you some insight as to what the collection is looking like (btw)....

The collection is fresh....and will cater to fresh faces, I assume.

Meet Alessandra Facchinetti

It is the name Alessandra Facchinetti that seems to be looming in the air today.....why? Well, after Mr. Valentino stepped down from his head designer position of his own (beautiful) label...Alessandra Facchinetti was there to jump right in.

Her collection, which is her very first, is stunning. It was strong, graceful and had a very clear view that she made sure each person could see! It was really wonderful! Facchinetti created beautiful gowns and choose rich yet somber tons to portray them in! It was beautiful...

Oh, and we LOVE the fact that the very last look to walk down the runway was a tribute to the true nature and history of VALENTINO....a gorgeous red gown. Very classy of her...

What keeps us sane...

As mentioned a little bit ago, I'll be covering the music scene. With this music section, I hope to talk about anything from upcoming releases and what I think are great songs of the moment to news about the music industry and different musicians. I ultimately think music is what keeps us all sane and love every aspect of the music world. For this first post I thought I would let you guys in on my own taste in music and what I've been listening to for the past few days. Basically I'm giving you guys my current playlist, enjoy it and let me know what you think. :)

My current playlist:
N.E.R.D. - "Anti-Matter" and "Love Bomb"...These songs are off their new CD which was released a few weeks ago called Seeing Sounds. They are both great songs, the first being more up beat and the second being a little slower.

Katy Perry - "Mannequin"...I'm sure you guys have all heard her song "I Kissed A Girl"...it is on rotation at various radio stations and is all over theMTV and VH1's video channels. Her debut CD is titled One of the Boys and this song is by far one of my favorites of the entire CD. I'm sure if you like her current single, you'll like this too. Her whole CD is witty...I like it.

Menudo - "Lost"...Yaaaaaaa, I'm sure you're wondering why I'm listening to a boy band that was out a longgggg time ago when Ricky Martin was like 10 years old. Buuutttt if you guys didn't watch the show, "Making Menudo", then let me be the first to tell you that Menudo is back...but with an entirely new line-up of boys who seem to be in their early teens. The show and boys were put together by Johnny Wright. (if you don't know who he is...he's Justin Timberlake's manager, along with a few other artists as well) The song is a Pop song, and ya it may sound a little cheesy at times...but for some reason, I can't get enough of it right now.

Hhmm...that's all for now, enjoy! :)

Elie Saab Fall Couture

I think it is safe to say that Beyonce's fashion team was sitting at their computers waiting for the Elie Saab collection to walk.....anyone willing to disagree? I think not!! I think Ms. Tina and Ty will be very excited to get their paws on these dresses, as once again.....Mr. Saab has created a couture collection full of wonderful gowns. The colors for his collection were said to be inspired by the Sistine Chapel...the blues and the browns...it really was great! BUT...call me crazy (or just someone who is way to observant of Mr. Saab's creations....) they are all silhouettes we have seen before...just in a new color and an extra petticoat...hmmm. Anyway, it's gorgeous. And I am gonna be bold and say...Beyonce will rock the collection. Watch.

Madame of Music

So, a month ago, we announced that we would be bringing someone on to write us a little bit about music (so, I only pretend to know)....but she REALLY knows. You could call her....an insider. A madame of sorts...lol ( I just like using that word....)

So, every now and then she will join us and give us some insight, trash music, trash artists, introduce new artists, introduce new material, showcase a video or two....even, perhaps, review some concerts. So Chloe (we'll call her Chlo) will do us the huge favor of writing for us....

We are TOTALLY excited...and we know you will be, too. We wont make tooooo much of an intro here- you'll get to know her over time...and you will learn to LOVE her.

LACROIX....

The Lacroix collection was out of this world...it was true to MY definition of Couture. It's designed with only a smidge of reality infused in the collection....we loved it, it is true art.

Givenchy Fall 2008 Couture

It's amazing how moving a beautiful collection can be....I have always been a fan of Givenchy's work. Sure, its not all gowns and some of it is rather obscure, but that's the beauty of it. It has an identity...a soul. I could decide on which image I wanted to show you....but I wanted to give you three reasons that justify my obsession....

Chanel Couture Show

I don't really think I can say anything but WOW about the Chanel Couture Collection. Its so fantastic...it's got color, volume, shape AND it's all flattering!

The woman who gets to wear one of these...is a woman after my own heart!!

Lagerfeld always gives us a great show....and an amazing collection.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Can somebody PLEASE get rid of these two low life attention whores? Please?

This will be the last time I ever post anything about them as I think they are gross and don't deserve any sort of attention at all.

The world will be a happier place, I promise.

We don't hate this dress....we are surprised...we dislike most of her collection!

We love Amanda Seyfried's emerald green Miu Miu dress...looks like she is in Miu Miu head to toe....she lokos great.
Will anyone be watching Mamma Mia?

We smile when they are smiling....
