So as you alll know, the VMAs were on tonight...and just like the past few years, this show was overly hyped-up, what a shocker! Ok so my take on the show: Britney's opening of the show...really, did everyone get all excited for that?!?! Britney winning the three awards she was nominated for, I feel like it was a pity win that MTV just gave her...that song/video was in no way the best song by a female artist this year, nor was it the Video of the Year.
The performances were, just like last year..and the year before, a disappointment. The one's I liked had to be from Pink, Jonas Brothers, and Kanye West. Kanye's was by far my favorite, he sang a new song of his called "Love Locked Down"...its really good!!! Leonna Lewis' part in Lil Wayne's performance was good too. Anyone see Christina perform...why was she lip-syncing?!??! Whyyyyy??? I love her, and she disappointed me so much by having such a crappy performance. :(
Russell Brand and his comments about the Jonas Brothers' promise rings...and then Jordan Sparks' retaliation...was HILARIOUS!
Ok..I'm just bummed that the show was overly hyped up, and still a disappointment. The days were Nsync and Britney would perform and when Chris Rock was the host needs to come back..those were by far the best VMAs.
